A near perfect photo and a near spot on critique by aburnier.
But the idea of using photo editing to make the photo perfect goes against the grain with me.
I would rather share the artists frustration at not achieving the perfect, knowing you can't control every element of the picture.
For me the perfect photo would have included the full view of the out of focus duck watching the the jumper (as they do). But then again maybe the shown legs are enough to imply a whole train of ducks each watching the one ahead in succession (as they do).
"Be Gutsy Gosling" by =hoschie is an instant success. Even if it weren't for the perfect angle and the hi-res image, this picture would make the heart melt of even the worst critic.
This picture is brilliant. We all go through stages like this in our life, where we are unsure of our surroundings, and where even the smallest jumps feel like precipices. I think we can all relate to this gossling.
Secondly, the angle is just killer. We see the feel under the duck overlapped nervously. We can also see the eyes and the end of the beak in a nervous expression.
I would edit out the legs in the background since they don't add much and they detract focus, but even so, this picture just screams for attention. Brilliant work.
Hello! Would you mind if I use this picture as reference for an acrylic painting? The pose of the little duckling is perfect!! Sooo cute. I will send you a photo when I am done if you are okay with it!

I think attention to detail in this photo is mastered. We can see the contemplative look on her face, the little drop on her nose, and I love the way her feet come together, almost nervously. The onlooker in the background is also a cute touch to add to the glimpse of a story that we get. Not only is this adorable, but its a great character shot. I really really enjoy this. <3
