A classic cat-aid picture...
Its insane how many beautiful, adorably and lovely cats sit in a shelter day by day and wait to share their love. If you want to make yourself a favour:
Adopt your cat from a shelter. You can find nearly all kinds of cats there, even pedigree cats! And if you REALLY want to do a good deed: Take a cat with low chances of a new home. Take the older ones, the black ones or those who have a little handicap. A kitten is adorable but in 6 month the kitten turn into a grown cat too and every cat starts as a little fluffball... There cats are so incredible thankful and full of love. I can just send an appeal from my heart to all of you and say it to your friends as well: Adopt a cat from a shelter. Do not support stupid breeding for money and neuter your cat

This kitty's huge, glassy eyes and little paws behind the cage really help add a moving mood to this image. On a personal level it really hit home with me; I love cats, and I had to put my old cat Wishes down in September of 2010, he was 16 years old and adopted from a shelter.
Last year I adopted a little black kitten who we named Onyx. At the shelter he was shyer than his brother and sister and kind of shyed away from our attention, but as soon as we got him home he was bouncing off the walls, purring loudly whenever he'd so much as see a person come into the room, sleeping on the beds and just wanting to be held all the time.
For anyone who's never adopted a shelter pet before, this picture truly does speak to their personalities, pets in shelters are often either very shy or very eager to get people's attention, most likely because they've been there for so long, waiting to have their dreams of a forever-home answered. So not only is it a good deed to adopt, but shelter pets make wonderful lifelong companions and family members.
I love this photo, very moving, and speaks volumes. The only thing I had a problem with was the factor of originality; while it is a great picture, the animal behind the bars/cage image has been overdone for many causes, but other than that, a lovely image that portrays a deep, positive message.
