Merlin the snake snack...

Some days ago I went to the cat-house to take new pictures. You have to imagine that there all the cats sit in small, nice boxes and rooms. There you can find an “entry-document” where the status of the cat is shown (name, gender, age etc… and in some cases some special informations like: why the cat was given away and something else.
So I went into Merlins room, checked the entry-document and then I read: Was intendet for snake food !!!
I asked my girlfriend if I suddenly got insane and so she read it too. We were both so confused so we called the “chef” of the organisation to know more about that, so here is his story (short form):
When he was a little baby cat someone wanted him to become a nice snack for his snake!!! A little baby kitten was thought to be food!!! I can not imagine how insane a human being has to be to do something like that!! (OK mouses were used as food, too but that is natural! A snake eats mices rats and sometimes rabbits but CATS???) Than the person had guests and one of them rescuted the little piece of cat and brought him to the organisation There he got a new home and lived his live there but the owner suddenly died and he came again. He was so lovely so he found a new owner very fast.
So some words to all cat-lovers out there: If you have baby kitten you have to give away: TAKE MONEY for them! Never give a cat for free!!! A symbolic gesture and a contract. You can found such formal contracts in the internet or ask on animal-aid organisations! So these people would not buy snake food for 20$! I can not believe how cruel and disgusting people can be! Everytime I think that it can not come worse it will come. Everything bad you can imagine happens… Keep your eyes open…
